Alvaro López holds a PhD in Digital Composition from the University of California, Riverside. His dissertation developed PAMG, a Progressive-Adaptive Music Generator for real-time algorithmic composition; the work also led to U.S. Patent 12,427,419 B2.
His practice includes algorithmic and interactive music, sound design, composition, audiovisual work, and audio production. It brings research questions into contact with devices, spaces, media, and the people who use them.
